TERRY KENNEDY may only be 21, but he has experienced enough of football’s contrasting range of emotions to know nothing can be taken for granted.

“You have to keep your feet on the ground,” said Kennedy, ahead of today’s trip to Crawley Town in League One.

“You can’t get too carried away because as quick as you can be up there and doing well, you can be doing poorly soon after.”

Kennedy has started three of the last four games with the other seeing him come off the bench at half-time.

It means he has played a full part in the stirring run that is giving United hope of gate-crashing the automatic promotion places.
