BLAIR CASTLE International Horse Trials beat some big names to win the British Equestrian Trade Association's Equestrian Event of the Year award. The Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead, the Festival of Eventing at Gatcombe, and Burghley Horse Trials were also short listed. Blair Castle, Scotland's only three-star event, combines top class eventing with a Country Fair and is now in its 21st year. It has been invited to host the FEI European Young Riders' Championships next year.
