Yorkshire-based family firm Brocklesby is sold to global energy giant St1 Nordic

Brocklesby, a family-owned Yorkshire food waste processing business, has been sold to a global energy company.

Energy company St1 Nordic Oy has acquired 100% of Brocklesby, which is one of the UK's leading refiners in the field of used cooking oil and fatty food waste.

Brocklesby, which is based in North Cave and has 80 staff, has forged strong partnerships with a large number of restaurants, retailers and food manufacturers in the UK. The collection volumes produce over 46.000 tonnes of output annually.
