SoccerTrade charity game and exhibition fun day to tackle mental health

MENTAL Health in the construction industry really will be tackled this week - with a fundraising charity football match of epic rivalry  on hallowed turf in Yorkshire.

SoccerTrade, presented by The TradeHub, will see a team of Plumbers take on Electricians at Barnsley FC's Oakwell, on Friday, May 17, at 1pm.

Will the Sparkies make a positively start? Can the Plumbers stop leaking goals?

But it's more than just a fun kick-around for bragging rights amongst friends, many of them social media influencers, to determine who gets crowned King Of The Trades.

The charity football match - which will be live streamed, see links below - is part of a full day of events to coincide with Mental Health Week, to help raise awareness and funds for charity MIND.

"SoccerTrade will see some of the biggest names in the construction industry unify under one roof with all profits donated to mental health charity Mind.

"But while we kick, score, and cheer, let's remember the serious side of our playful rivalry. We aim to tackle a challenge far greater than any match -raising vital funds. In a world where the pressure valve seems stuck on high, especially for men facing mental health struggles, our goal isn't just to score goals, but to raise awareness and support for this cause.

"The statistics don't lie - men's mental health concerns are on the rise. Through this fun-filled game, we're breaking the stereotype that mental health isn't a 'manly' concern. So, let's lace up our boots, play our hearts out, and unite as one in this noble cause. to make a difference in the lives of those battling their toughest opponent - mental health challenges.

"As the sun sets, the celebration continues into the night. Join us for live music performances, inspiring speeches, raffle and an abundance of refreshments to keep the spirits high.'
