Archbishop opens up home for Jubilee
A gala will be held in the afternoon with stalls, food and a liccensed bar.
Meanwhile, tickets are already sold out for a Party in the Palace event that evening, with performances from acts including the Goosehorns, Riding Lights Theatre Company and Shepherd Homes Brass Band.

Hide AdDr Sentamu said: “The Queen’s love and devotion to God and to her people throughout her 60-year reign has set us a fine example of selfless and generous service.
“Like many others, I am looking forward to her Diamond Jubilee and wanted to make the grounds available to local people to mark this occasion.
“Come rain or shine, we will be celebrating . We will light a special beacon and will finish the event by singing the National Anthem and then a firework display. ”
Entrance to the gala from 12 noon to 4pm costs £2, with children free of charge.
Profits from the evening event will be donated to charities including St Leonard’s Hospice.
