Blue among first acts to be revealed for Leeds Party in Park
Organisers at Leeds City Council and 96.3 Radio Aire have announced the first three names appearing at the summer music event.
One of the acts hitting the stage on the big day at Temple Newsam will be re-formed boy band Blue, who scored huge hits with the likes of All Rise and One Love.

Hide AdAlso on the bill are girl group Stooshe and singer-songwriter A*M*E. More stars are due to be revealed in the next few weeks.
Radio Aire breakfast show presenter Rich Williams said: “Now we’ve announced the first acts it feels very real! I can’t wait for Party in the Park now.
“Stooshe and Blue are amazing live and I think A*M*E is going to be one of the stars of the show. Leeds is all set for one stunning day out.”
Party in the Park will take place on Sunday, July 28. Budget cuts mean the council has had to introduce ticket charges for the annual event for the first time. General admission costs £10, although discounts of as much as £5 will be available to holders of leisure passes such as Breezecards and LEEDSCards. A 10 per cent discount offer for‘early bird purchases also runs until this Friday. Tickets can be bought online from the www.radioaire.com/partyinthepark web page.

This year’s Opera in the Park concert will take place at Temple Newsam on Saturday, July 27. Acts include singer Aled Jones, Classic Brit Award nominee Laura Wright and operatic quartet Amore.
