Vintage fair at Lotherton Hall draws colourful crowd for weekend of events
The event, held over Saturday and Sunday at Lotherton Hall, near Leeds, saw dozens of stalls set up in the house grounds, as well as live music performances and a classic cars display. More than 1,500 people attended on Saturday, with a far greater crowd expected yesterday as the weekend weather improved, and organisers said there was a lively atmosphere with plenty of guests dressing up for the event.
“People are quite nostalgic about bygone eras,” said Laurence Waterhouse, site development manager. “They like original clothing which is different from what’s available on the high street and they love the clothing of this period.

“There were some lovely little dresses, which you wouldn’t be able to find in the high street, and lots of jewellery.
“It was very glamorous, lots of people in vintage clothes and there was a lovely atmosphere, with a bit of rock and roll in the background.”
