Barely a penny was spent, which is understandable given the current climate, and Leeds themselves chose to focus on outgoings.
Jordan Stevens, Robbie Gotts, Ryan Edmondson and Rafa Mujica departed on loan, while Conor Shaughnessy and Jay Roy-Grot left Elland Road permanently.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men are ticking along nicely on their return to the top-flight – they’ve got 29 points from 20 games and sit 11th in the table.
Their comfortable position explains why they felt no need to panic, and the Daily Mirror’s David Anderson has offered his take on Leeds’ quiet window.
He said: "Marcelo Bielsa dislikes the January transfer window and told Victor Orta he did not want to sign anyone.
“They did consider signing some young players for their Under-23s and had a bid for Wigan’s Sean McGurk rejected."
McGurk is a player Orta will likely go back for in the summer. The 19-year-old is out of contract at the League One club theb, though compensation will be required.
Leeds had already poached Joe Gelhardt last summer from the Latics as the club boosted its academy significantly with a number of arrivals.
Anderson continued: "It will have no affect because Bielsa was already happy with his squad and Leeds are on course to finish in lower to mid-table in their first season back in the Premier League. ”
Here’s a round-up of some of the other headlines involving Leeds and their top-flight rivals this morning:
