Preston NE v Hull City: Optimism fuels Pearson's belief that Tigers can start climbing
The Tigers make the trip to Preston North End tonight sitting in the relegation zone after slipping two places on Wednesday night courtesy of Bristol City's win at Swansea City and Sheffield United claiming a point at Leicester City.
Despite City's lowly position, Pearson believes there were plenty of positives to take from a week that also saw the club sold to local businessmen Assem and Ehab Allam.

"The midfield three played a big part – as did Richard Garcia up front, his work-rate was phenomenal.
"At the moment, we have got to look for the positives in games and make sure that we actually build on them.
"I am not going to build it up too much because it was just one game and one point. But in the context of the recent form, it was much improved. I am pleased for the players because it looks as though they are starting to find a bit more belief in themselves."

Preston, one of only two clubs below Pearson's men in the Championship table, have also been on a poor run with just one win in the seven outings since they beat Leeds 6-4 on September 28.
Hull manager Pearson said: "For both sides it is a big game. It is two teams that most people wouldn't expect to see in this position but we are.
"What is important is that we make sure our performances are better and more consistent from here on in.
"If that is the case I am sure we can climb the table.
