ACKLING ALAN Gladys and Family thank all Relatives, Friends and Neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy and generous donations, £1000.00 was collected for the work of Marie Curie Nurses. Special thanks to Canon Bob Cooper and Father Ian Bullock and all at St. Giles Church, Pontefract, for a truly memorable service. Warm thanks also to Graham Waring of Granville Brooks Funeral Service, also the catering services of Michael at Cromwells and Richard of DJ's. Alan received excellent medical care, very grateful thanks to Dr. D. Eccles and all at Northgate Surgery, Pontefract, Amanda Henderson Macmillan Nurse, and the dedicated District, Palliative and out of hours team of Nurses who attended Alan. Particular thanks go to The Marie Curie Nurses whose valuable presence made it possible for Alan to be nursed at home.
