Appointntments August 5th: Big plans for the future as Leeds property adviser expands team

Property adviser GVA Grimley is expanding its planning, development and regeneration (PDR) division in Leeds with five new appointments and two promotions.
Associate Neil Jones has relocated to Leeds from GVA Grimley's London office; Amanda Douglass has been appointed
as a principal surveyor leading on CPO and development projects; and James Cox and Rich Rothwell join as graduate planners.

In addition, Sally Goymer joins as a secretary and Nicola Jones has been promoted from senior secretary to planning graduate. Russell Mills has been promoted to senior surveyor.

Law firm Eaton Smith has strengthened its commercial property team with senior solicitor Jas Sohal.

Sohal joins the Huddersfield firm from Bradford and Leeds-based law firm Gordons.

International consultancy EC Harris has appointed Duncan Melville as location leader for the north-east of England.

Formerly a director of DTZ, he joins the Leeds office as a partner and will be responsible for spearheading development across Yorkshire and the North-East.

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce has promoted Paul Reeves to director of business development. The move sees him expand his duties from heading chamber membership services to running the Chamber's marketing function and overseeing the commercialisation of the recently re-launched South Yorkshire International Trade Centre.

Four solicitors with Wrigleys Solicitors have been made partners. Simon Evans, Josephine Mandfredi-Hamer, Marie-Louise Hamilton and Elizabeth Wilson have been promoted within the firm's Leeds and Sheffield offices.

In addition, pensions expert Margaret Allison has been promoted to consultant in Wrigleys' Sheffield office.

Marketing consultancy fuse8 has appointed nine new employees. Joining the existing 75-strong team in Leeds are new business development manager Ben Wild, network manager Simon Lewis and Clare Jones, the new financial controller.

The account management team has also been bolstered with the appointment of account executive Jodie Soulsby, project manager Becky Kern and senior online project manager Emily Long.

Completing the influx of new appointments are internet architect Andy Roberts
and developers Sergei Vorflomeev and Alexander Kadochnikoc, who will both be based at fuse8's Russian Office in Chelyabinsk.

Yorkshire-based new homes developer Skipton Properties has appointed a new chairman. Taking the helm is 51-year-old Mike Stansfield who currently sits on the boards of NHBC Building Services, Housing 21 and the Housing Forum and has 30 years' experience in property development.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has made six senior level promotions in Yorkshire. Joanna King, Andy Ward and Lyn Vardy have been promoted to directors in the Sheffield office. Meanwhile, in Leeds, Katherine Bullock, Madeline Thomson and Matthew Gibson have been admitted to partnership.

Stowe Family Law has appointed an international family law specialist to its 41-strong team. Robin Charrôt will be working across Stowe Family Law's two offices in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and Hale, Cheshire, following a move from Channel Islands practice Carey Olsen.
