Cardiff City v Barnsley

Championship

TEENAGER Jamil Adam is set to become the second-youngest player to appear for Barnsley in tomorrow's final Championship game against Cardiff City.
Striker Adam, who is just 16 years and 333 days old, is likely to be on the bench at Ninian Park as manager Simon Davey takes an opportunity to give youth a chance.

The former Manchester City junior won the club's Academy Player of the Year award and has also been selected to play for Nigeria at Under-20 level.

Alan Ogley is the youngest player to appear for the Tykes in a game against Bristol Rovers in September 1962 aged 16 years and 226 days.

Davey had also considered throwing promising youngster Reuben Lazarus into the fray but, at 14, he was under the minimum age requirement set down by the Football League.

Barnsley, who will be looking to take some revenge for last month's FA Cup semi-final defeat, have joined the growing list of clubs to announce a reduction in season ticket prices.

The Tykes have reduced all season tickets by £10 and also frozen match day ticket prices. The club is also offering free season tickets to under-11s if accompanied by a paying adult.
