BARNSLEY'S Oakwell is to host Manchester City's UEFA Cup qualifying round tie next month.
Mark Hughes's Premier League side are unable to play at their Eastlands home because of a number of events being held their over the summer.

Barnsley offered the services of Oakwell for their qualifying round match next month, but the Galpharm Stadium, home of Huddersfield Town, and Preston's Deepdale were both also considered.

However, UEFA today confirmed that Oakwell matches the criteria to host European ties and granted the two clubs permission.

The tie, Hughes's first in charge since leaving Blackburn, is scheduled for July 16/17 or July 30/31 depending on the draw.
