Barnsley travel to mega-rich QPR in opener

MEGA-RICH QPR are the first opponents for Barnsley in the new Championship season with Simon Davey's men making the journey to the capital on Saturday, August 9.
Coventry are the first visitors to Oakwell on Saturday, August 18, as they were last season, with the Reds then travelling to relegated Birmingham seven days later and finishing the month at home to Derby.

Their first South Yorkshire derby pits them against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, October 4, with the return at the Keepmoat Stadium just three and a half weeks later.

A home game with Sheffield Wednesday is sandwiched in between on Tuesday, October 21.

Sheffield United are the visitors on November 8, with the return trips to Sheffield for both derbies coming in February.

Davey's men travel to Burnley on Boxing Day and conclude their season with a the long trip south to take on Plymouth.
