BARNSLEY striker Kayode Odejayi has billed today's game with Leicester City as the 'biggest of the season.'

Although the Tykes played at Wembley in an FA Cup semi-final after knocking out both Liverpool and Chelsea, a victory today will guarantee the club's Championship surival.

Odejayi, who bounced back from his Wembley 'howler' by scoring two goals in
the recent away win at Watford, said: "In a season with so many big matches, this is the biggest by far for us.

"We know that we will be safe with a win and we have to go out and get the right result.

"I will remember this season forever and so will a lot of people," he added.

"We had a great time in the FA Cup and it will be even better if we can secure our Championship status."

Manager Simon Davey has called on the supporters who travelled to Wembley to turn out in force today: "We need them more than ever. We have a great opportunity to put any doubts about our Championship status to bed by beating Leicester and we want this place packed out. If we win the game, we will stay up – it is as simple as that."

Barnsley chairman Gordon Shepherd, 73, announced his intention to retire this week and admitted that he wanted to go out on a high.

The club's owner, Patrick Cryne, ruled out taking over as chairman but is actively looking for new directors to join the board.

Leicester are hoping to bring a 6,000 following to Oakwell.
