Appointments:Legal trio for healthcare team
The healthcare team at the Sheffield office of law firm Halliwells has welcomed three new lawyers to its ranks.
James Newman, Richard Bateman and Bridie Mahoney have been drafted in to support the existing team, which was formed last February when partner Andrew Peel joined Halliwells from DLA Piper.
The team specialises in all aspects of healthcare law.
nWilliamsons Solicitors' partner Jane Longhorn has been appointed to head the firm's residential conveyancing department.
She succeeds Brian Coombes, the Hull-based firm's longest-serving partner, who has taken up a consultancy role. Longhorn, who became a partner in the firm in 2005, is a specialist in the residential conveyancing field.
Sandra O'Neill has joined accountants Grant Thornton as head of business development
O'Neill has more than 15 years' experience in professional services integrated sales and marketing.
DLA Piper has further strengthened its Leeds team with the appointment of three new partners and two legal directors. John Gallon becomes partner in corporate, and Roger McCourt and David Young become partners in litigation and regulatory.
In addition, Louise Hendry and Jane Hannon have been promoted from associates to the position of legal director in employment, pensions and benefits.
Law firm Taylor Bracewell has announced the appointment of solicitor Peter Caswell as a partner specialising in property, trusts and probate.
John Eaglesham has been named as the new CEO of The Advanced Digital Institute (ADI). He succeeds Ged Powell who is stepping down as chief executive after three years.
Chartered surveyors and commercial property specialists Walker Singleton, based in Halifax, have appointed Graham Foster as head of their commercial property management department.
He was previously employed for 18 years by Eddisons Commercial.
