Communications agency is now part of the union
A YORKSHIRE communications agency has been signed up by Hull and East Yorkshire Credit Union to help boost financial inclusion.
Fox Communications, which has offices in York and Leeds, will rebrand the credit union and produce literature to promote its products and services. The firm will also create a new website early this year to coincide with a campaign surrounding the opening of the union's new head office, in central Hull.
The project is being funded by the Department for Work and Pensions.
John Smith, development officer for the credit union, said: "This is a very exciting time as we have significantly increased the number of products and services we offer.
"Fox Communications has provided us with the invaluable expertise that will help us relay these new services to our existing and potential customers, as well as communicate the benefits of being part of a credit union."
The credit union offers an ethical alternative to high street banks and doorstep lenders for people on low incomes and the financially excluded.
