Enterprising advice on start-ups

ADVICE for would-be entrepreneurs in Barnsley will be on offer at an event next week.

Organised by Enterprising Barnsley, the event is aimed at anyone considering launching their own business and will be held at The Core, in County Way, on Wednesday, May 18.

Enterprising Barnsley programme manager Martin Beasley said: “We had a fantastic response to two similar events held earlier this year and, again, leading business professionals are waiting to share their expertise.

“Between them, our experts have many years’ experience of helping businesses to develop.

“Barnsley has one of the best small-business support networks in the country and this is a great opportunity for individuals to find out exactly how they can benefit, even if it’s a case of thinking you might be interested, but haven’t a clue where to start.”

The Enterprising Barnsley programme is a partnership between Barnsley Development Agency, Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre and the University of Huddersfield’s Barnsley Campus.

Representatives from all partners will be at the event, which runs from 5.15 to 7.45pm. To book a place call 01226 787535.
