Galliford Try in £26m contracts win
CONSTRUCTION and housebuilding firm Galliford Try said today it had won two education contracts worth more than £26.1m.
The firm, which in May bought the residential development assets of Hull development company Wright Group after it went into administration, agreed a deal with Lancaster University build a new sports centre and a four-storey academic building. The deal is worth 18.1m.
It has also secured an 8m contract to redevelop of Michael Faraday Primary School for in Southwark, London.
Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive, of Galliford Try, said: "These contract awards reinforce our strong presence and robust market position in these sectors."
