Health plan launched for those over 66

Members of Benenden Healthcare Society who are 66 and over can now access a health cash plan product after the organisation joined forces with Engage Mutual Assurance.

York-based Benenden Healthcare’s wholly owned subsidiary the Friendly Healthcare Organisation is bringing the new Benenden Health Cash Plan 66+ to society members for 2012 – with Engage Mutual providing the plan.

Harrogate-based Engage Mutual also provides two of Friendly Healthcare’s other products – the Benenden Health Cash Plan (for members aged 65 and under) and the recently launched Benenden Over 50s Life Cover.

Marc Bell, marketing and business strategy director at Benenden Healthcare and director of Friendly Healthcare said: “It’s a great achievement to be able to end the past 12 months on a high note having brought three new products to our members. This has been a landmark year for the society and a perfect catalyst for aiming even higher in 2012.

“With the addition of the 66+ cash plan, society members of all ages now have the opportunity to apply for a cash plan product.”

There are single plans and joint plans available with three levels of cover from which to select. For the joint plans, both applicants must be aged 66 or over. There is no upper age limit on applying for the plans.

Monthly premiums start at £10 per month. For more information, visit www.benendencashplan.org.uk
