Milestones: Ring of confidence as Lego gems prove popular

Cufflinks, bracelets and rings made from Lego are helping to build up a new West Yorkshire art business.

The main focus of the Projeto Gallery, in Silsden, near Keighley, is photographic work by artists from countries including China, Venezuela, India, Japan, Italy, Germany and Britain.

But now lego jewellery, made by Shipley designer Kitchensink, is selling out at the gallery.

Gallery owner Paula Baker-Parkin, said: "I've only been open five weeks and have had to order more of the Lego jewellery, it's been so popular for Christmas. It's also proved a brilliant icebreaker, bringing people into the gallery to look at the photography."
