Model business park names IT provider

A YORKSHIRE business park has appointed IT and communications company Essensys to provide its telecommunications services.

Essensys, based in London, was selected for the project at Inspire Bradford Business Park after a tendering process involving a number of IT providers led by the Newlands Community Association, based in East Bradford, which owns and manages the business park.

Essensys will provide the park, which is due to open in March, with information and communication technology services including super-fast internet access and MITEL VOIP telephony.

These services will be provided using a cloud computing platform created by Essensys.

Tenants at the business park will be able to use services including Essensys’ pioneering management tool named JEFF – an automated system that enables instant service provision, real-time billing, service guides and various other information that tenants may need.

Tony Holdrich, chief executive of the Newlands Community Association, said: “The appointment of Essensys takes us a further step forward in the delivery of Inspire, which is a very exciting project.

“What set Essensys apart from its competitors was its ability to deliver super-fast, flexible services, which is a highly appealing attribute for businesses looking to relocate here.

“What’s more, these services are all delivered via a cloud computing platform, which meets the green credentials of the business park perfectly as cloud computing is proved to be more energy efficient than regular network servers as it eliminated the need for a server room.”

The park is currently being built on a brownfield site, close to Eccleshill Community Hospital in East Bradford and when completed will be the home of Europe’s largest straw bale constructed buildings. The business park will comprise two buildings totalling 29,999 sq ft, housing 14 managed workspaces, 14 serviced offices and an on-site café.

Mark Furness, chief executive of Essensys, said: “Essensys is thrilled to have been chosen to provide ICT services at Inspire and is highly committed to providing IT and telecommunications services that will meet the needs of all tenants. Essensys is looking forward to working with the Inspire team.”
