Jonathan Fish is an industrial product manager at Gripple, the Sheffield-based manufacturer.
What was your first job?
My first job was chopping chips in the local fish and chip shop.
If not in your current job what would you like to do?
I would like to be a location scout for the film industry.
What was your worst mistake?
I was half way through a stag weekend in Newcastle, and agreed to go deep sea fishing on a very rough North Sea. We put more in than we took out!
What is your ideal day away from the office?
It would be nothing out of the ordinary. It would be just spending time with friends and family with good food and sunshine. This is what I am lucky enough to enjoy most weekends, apart from the sun.
Name one person you would most like to have had dinner with.
Probably the Missus!
What were your best subjects at school?
Maths, although I’ve forgotten most of it now.
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are Do-it-Yourself (DIY), football, squash and cooking.
What would you do if you won the National Lottery?
I would travel for a few years before returning home, when I would set up a property renovation business for listed buildings. My parents’ house was 400 years old. I have always had a fascination with older buildings.
What is your top time-saving tip?
My top time-saving tip is get into work early. It is amazing how much you can get done while the office is quiet.
What is your favourite time of the day?
It is 5.45pm when the working day is usually over, and I have the whole evening to spend with my family.

What would your epitaph be?
It was good while it lasted.
