Revolutionising the world of recruitment
A YORKSHIRE firm hopes to transform recruitment with its new video interviewing package.
Talent on View's secure web-based software allows recruitment firms to present clients on video alongside use of the traditional CV.
The Harrogate firm also believes it will overcome the problem of candidates misrepresenting themselves in a paper application.
Recruitment agencies will present clients with candidate interviews and allow them to assess someone's personality and communication skills.
The recruitment agency will also get immediate feedback so the candidate won't be kept waiting.
Licences are scalable, meaning that firms buying the technology can vary the terms of the agreement according to the number of people they want to use the software.
Alexis Twigg, Talent on View director, said: "Feedback from major blue chip companies, which recruit heavily on an annual basis, shows that clients are desperate for recruitment processes to move into the next generation and become more streamlined.
"The application will save the candidates, recruiters and clients valuable time, speed up decision-making and help to eliminate expensive travel and contribute to the carbon footprint ethos".
Fellow director Lisa Scales said: "As a recruitment professional, I saw a lot of excellent candidates with a strong job history and skill set who were rejected by clients because their CV failed to showcase softer signals of suitability, such as character, attitude and demeanor.
"Talent on View offers the solution, addressing the needs of both recruiter and client. It has real potential to revolutionise the recruitment process."
The firm is also developing a video conferencing add-on that will allow recruitment agencies to do video interviews remotely.
