Watermill to come back to life
A FORMER flax spinning and corn mill is to be given a new lease of life after it is converted into five homes.
Fringill Mill, which dates back to 1820 and is one of only four mills in the country with its own internal water wheel, had fallen into disrepair and neglect over the years but developer Fringill Mill Developments and main contractor Ellmore Construction of Leeds are bringing it back to life.
They plan to retain as much of the original structure as possible, including the 24ft diameter internal water wheel.
The building is in Darley, near Harrogate.
Brick-Tie advised on structural and waterproofing issues in order to remove an old extension.
