Jaywing spreads its wings Down Under

CREATIVE agency Jaywing has spread its wings by snapping up a company Down Under.

The Sheffield-based firm has announced the acquisition of the Australian search agency Digital Massive.

Jaywing, which employs 600 staff, already has a presence in Australia with Epiphany Digital.

A company spokesman said: “The move reaffirms Jaywing’s belief in the strength of the Australian market and fast-tracks its Australian growth.”

Jaywing has acquired 75 per cent of Digital Massive’s issued share capital for an initial cash payment of AUS$2 million, plus an earn out consideration of up to AUS$2 million, which will be payable in three instalments over the next two years, subject to Digital Massive’s performance.

Digital Massive has a number of blue chip, international clients, including Wedgwood, Waterford Crystal, Royal Doulton, and the Australian flooring specialist Amber.

Rob Shaw, the chief executive of Jaywing UK & Australia, said: “Digital Massive is an exciting and fast growing company that has seen exceptional results since its launch in 2012. Following our success with the acquisition of Epiphany in 2014, we felt sure we could repeat that and went in search of a like-minded agency in Australia.

Chris Pittham, the director of Digital Massive, added, “We’re thrilled to have become part of the Jaywing family. Digital Massive and Epiphany Digital’s operations will merge with immediate effect, with further brand development over the next few months.
