Barratt sees more visitors

Barratt Developments has reported an increase in visitor numbers to its sites after launching new marketing deals and cutting prices.

While the housebuilder described trading conditions as the worst in memory, Barratt said sales rates had improved since the beginning of the autumn selling period, after it offered deals on stamp duty and discounts.

Visitor levels per site were up approximately 7.5 per cent in the weeks since the beginning of September.
