ENERGY services company Cape has been awarded a three-year maintenance contract with the Bahrain Petroleum Company, which is worth over £10m.
The deal is the first fully-integrated services contract to be awarded by the Bahrain Petroleum Company for the provision of access, thermal insulation, asbestos management, refractory and fireproofing services.

In addition, the Bahrain Petroleum Company has awarded Wakefield-based Cape a contract to provide a heat exchanger overhaul and has asked Cape to conduct a pilot test on crude oil sludge treatment.

Cape more than doubled its 2007 profits as a result of strong international demand for energy and the group's good safety record.

Cape carries out cleaning and maintenance for the oil and gas sectors, which are booming due to record prices.

The company provides scaffolding, insulation, fire protection, specialist cleaning and other essential services to industrial clients in the international energy and natural resources sectors.
