Takeover puts Perry Slingsby on road to growth

>For more than 30 years, Perry Slingsby Systems has made manned and unmanned submersibles which have been used by the oil and gas, military and telecoms sectors. The company, which employs more than 100 people at its plant near Kirkbymoorside in North Yorkshire, is poised for rapid expansion.
Triton Group Holdings has acquired Perry Slingsby Systems and Perry Slingsby Systems Inc (PSS) from the Technip group, for an undisclosed sum .
Triton Group Holdings was established specifically for this deal, with the principal shareholder being SCF Partners, a private equity company based in Houston, Texas.
The management of PSS are investors in Triton Group Holdings along with SCF. Martin Anderson has become chief executive of Triton Group Holdings, which has its headquarters in Aberdeen.
Mr Anderson, who was previously managing director and chief executive of Perry Slingsby Systems, said: "PSS has grown considerably in the last three years and is in an extremely strong position. Additional investment is required to continue this growth and to take advantage of the market conditions and opportunities.
"PSS, within the Triton Group, will continue to strengthen its position as the leading provider of remote intervention technologies. This is an extremely exciting development for Perry Slingsby Systems and Triton Group." As well as Kirkbymoorside, the firm has a base in Jupiter, Florida.
