RANA Naved-ul-Hasan went from the sublime to the ridiculous on a night when he followed a career-best 74 with the bat with a dreadful bowling display that cost Yorkshire Carnegie what had appeared a certain victory against Derbyshire Phantoms.
Rana's return of 7-0-62-2 – including seven wides and three no-balls – allowed Derbyshire to gain a dramatic tie off the last ball after Yorkshire had posted 213-7 in a match reduced by rain to 34 overs per side.

The Pakistani's performance saw the home team recover from 128-6 in the 24th over as Dan Redfern (57*) and Tom New (28*) inspired a remarkable revival with an unbroken seventh-wicket partnership of 85.

Yorkshire sent down 13 wides and three no-balls in total to throw away the opportunity of a third victory in four Pro40 games.
