YORKSHIRE are in action on day one of the LV County Championship match with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Yorkshire innings

Close: Yorkshire's latest batting collapse took the shine off their efforts in the field as they subsided to 72-5 in response to Nottinghamshire's 213 all out.

The visitors ran through the home side's batting after tea, taking four wickets for one run to polish them off. However, they lost both openers cheaply and, after Jacques rudolph and Adam Lyth had put on 50, three wickets fell for four runs at the end of the evening session.

Gerard Brophy and Matthew Hoggard will resume in the morning, both yet to score.

25th over: Oh dear. Five down now as Andrew Gale is lbw to Mark Ealham. 72-5, and 213 is a long way away.

24th over: Adam Lyth is caught in the slips, defending at a ball from Andre Adams. Yorkshire are in the mire at 72-4.

21st over: Jacques Rudolph is lbw to Mark Ealham for 19 and Yorkshire are 68-3.

21st over: Adam Lyth and Jacques Rudolph are digging Yorkshire out of trouble with a partnership that has just passed 50. Yorkshire are 68-2.

7th over: Joe Sayers, a late replaceent for the hamstrung Anthony McGrath, departs for nine, caught in the slips off Charlie Shreck. Yorkshire are 18-2.

1st over: Chris Taylor is caught at second slip, pushing forward at Charlie Shreck. 1-1. Maybe 213 is not such a bad score after all.

Nottinghamshire innings

69th over: Four wickets in less than five overs after tea, and Nottinghamshire are all out for 213. The final wicket came when Charlie Schreck was caught by Adam Lyth at short extra-cover off Adil Rashid.

68th over: Run-out: Andre Adams squeezes Adil Rashid into the off-side and sets off, but Tim Bresnan's throw is too good for Paul Franks. 213-9.

67th over: Chris Read falls, caught behind off Tim Bresnan for 19, and Nottinghamshire are in deep trouble at 212-8. Yorkshire have made a tremendous start to the evening session.

66th over: Adil Rashid strikes in the first over after tea, turning one away from Mark Ealham and having him caught at slip. 212-7.

Tea: Yorkshire take tea in a strong position, with Nottinghamshire 216-6. Rana Naved took his third wicket of the innings shortly after lunch, with Deon Kruis and Matthew Hoggard also striking as the visitors made regular inroads.

Chris Read and Mark Ealham are at the crease.

57th over: Matthew Hoggard returns to the attack and with his second ball, he induces Adam Voges to loop a catch to shortish extra-cover, where Tim Bresnan holds a diving catch. Voges, who made 45, was undone by what appeared to be a slower ball. 189-6.

53rd over: Deon Kruis draws Graeme Swann forward and has him caught behind for 27. 170-5. It has been a good day for the visitors so far.

48th over: Adam Voges and Swann are rebuilding Nottinghamshire's innings, taking their side to 150-4.

36th over: Rana Naved claims his third wicket of the innings, as opener Matthew Wood feathers a catch to wicketkeeper Gerard Brophy. This is the Pakistani's best spell for Yorkshire - he is seaming them in to the right-handers at pace, but that one held its line a Wood pushed forward. 111-4

Lunch: Nottinghamshire end the morning session on 100-3 off 31 overs, with Matthew Wood (not the former Yorkshire opener) unbeaten on 50.

After Anthony McGrath had been forced out of the match after waking up with a stiff hamstring, Matthew Hoggard removed Bilal Shafayat in the third over.

Wood and Mark Wagh took the score to 62 before Rana Naved-ul-Hasan struck twice in successive overs, dismissing Wagh and Samit Patel.

Wood, who had struggled to middle the ball, began to find some fluency alongside Adam Voges.

20th over: Rana does it again. Another fast, full in-cutter beats the defence of Samit Patel and hits his pads. Up goes the finger and it's 62-3.

18th over: A beauty from Rana Naved-ul-Hasan nips back off a full length and removes Mark Wagh's off-stump. 62-2.

12th over: Mark Wagh survives an edge to Adil Rashid at second slip off Tim Bresnan. It should have been held - the absent Anthony McGrath, a slip specialist unlike Rashid, would surely have caught it.

11th over: Nottinghamshire have mounted a recovery, with neither Mark Wagh not Matthew Wood experiencing any serious alarms. Wagh has been fluent, Wood scratchy. 32-1.

3rd over: Matthew Hoggard has Bilal Shafayat caught at second slip with a sharp lifter. Nottinghamshire are 3-1.

Stand-in captain Anthony McGrath has pulled out of the Yorkshire side after waking up with a stiff hamstring.

He has been replaced in the XI by Joe Sayers, who is currently driving down the M1. Yorkshire have lost the toss and will field, so 12th man Ben Sanderson will cover for Sayers until he arrives.

Jacques Rudolph takes over the captaincy. Yorkshire have one other change from the side that lost at Kent, with Chris Taylor replacing Gary Ballance.

Nottinghamshire recall opening batsman Bilal Shafayat in place of Will Jefferson.

While it is dissappointing McGrath has had to pull out, I'm delighted to read that Chris Taylor has been selected. He seems to have been the forgotten man since returning from Derbyshire.

I think Taylor has been a bit unlucky with injuries this season otherwise I think Sayers will have been dropped a lot sooner.
Will be interesting to see how Rudolph captains this match, I think he's likely to take over next season if McGrath declines it again.
