John Nash and his brother, Tom, at Neswick Farm, Bainton, near Driffield, whose miscanthus crop is providing biomass for the greening of Drax power station, hosted a visit by 50 other growers sponsored
by the East Riding Council's "Combine" programme.
A second meeting on the linked theme of farmers' carbon footprint is being held next Tuesday.
