Junaid Siddique produced a career-best 85 to help Bangladesh to their first one-day international win, against New Zealand in Mirpur.

Siddique had only managed 62 runs in his eight previous ODIs – at an average of just seven – but showed great temperament in his match-winning 139-ball innings.

The 20-year-old left-hander fell with his team just seven runs short of overhauling New Zealand's 201-9, leaving captain Mohammad Ashraful (60no), pictured in the centre of celebrations above, to guide his side to a comfortable seven-wicket win with 27 balls to spare.

The victory was set up by the home bowlers, Mashrafe Mortaza the destroyer-in-chief with four wickets, including three as the New Zealand top order crashed to 79-6.
