Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll will continue his search for a striker this week after recently making contact with a target.
Rovers are still struggling at the bottom of the Championship table despite an impressive 1-0 victory over Ipswich at the weekend, and the manager knows that extra firepower will be required to sustain a successful survival bid.

"We identified somebody and made contact last week to see if he was available and I am waiting to see if that is the case," O'Driscoll said.

On beating Ipswich, O'Driscoll added: "It gave us something to hang on to and that gave everyone a spring in their step.

"We are definitely not the finished article. I think that we can compete in this division football-wise, but there are other aspects of the game that we have to be better at and the players realise that.

"We improved as a side last season as the season unfolded and we aim to do the same this season."
