Stoke City v Hull City

Team news: Defender Andy Dawson (Achilles) and striker Caleb Folan (knee) are the main injury doubts for Hull City ahead of the trip to the Britannia Stadium.

Bernard mendy (knee) and Anthony Gardner (thigh) remain on the sidelines along with broken leg victim Craig Fagan who has this week returned to training.

Defender Wayne Brown is back in the squad after returning from a loan spell at Preston North End and rejecting a loan move to Leeds United.

Phil Brown: "We have taken two deserved draws against Portsmouth and Manchester City - who many people regarded as top eight clubs at the start of the season. If we keep reproducing that level of performance, there won't be need for many changes."

Ipswich Town v Sheffield United

Team news: Blades defender Ugo Ehiogu is available again after serving a three match ban for a red card against Barnsley.

Midfielder Gary Speed is the main injury doubt after suffering a back injury in the midweek defeat against Wolves so Matthew Spring is standing by to deputise.

Former Blades striker Jon Stead will start for Ipswich Town and Alan Quinn is also in the squad.

Sam Ellis (assistant manager): "Ipswich like to play football so we know what we're going to be up against and hopefully that should bring out the best in us."

Nottingham Forest v Barnsley

Team news: Striker Jamie Cureton is set to make his Barnsley debut after arriving on a three month loan from Norwich City.

Cureton fills the gap vacated by Iain Hume who is out for the rest of the season with a fractured skull. Winger Martin Devaney has been ruled out for the next two months after damaging ankle ligaments in the midweek victory over Burnley while Diego Leon is sidelined after suffering a groin strain in training.

Brazilian Anderson De Silva returns in midfield after serving a three match ban. Defender Darren Moore is again ruled out by a groin injury.

Simon Davey: "Forest are a big club who are still finding their feet in this division. They are fighting for their lives and Colin Calderwood is a good manager."

Sheffield Wednesday v Norwich City

Team news: Polish international Bartosz Slusarski is likely to start for the Owls after returning for a second spell on loan this week.

Defender Tommy Spurr could return after missing the last two games with a dead leg and winger Wade Small is fit again andback in the squad.

Defender Tony McMahon plays his final game on loan before returning to Middlesbrough.

Brian Laws: "The board believe that I'm doing the right job. I wanted that support. They have given me that support. That's why I wanted to stay."

Watford v Doncaster Rovers

Team news: Striker Steve Brooker could make his Rovers debut against former club Watford after signing a one month loan deal from Bristol City.

James Hayter is ruled out after suffering a knee injury against Nottingham Forest in midweek. Centreback Gordon Greer is available again after groin trouble but Jos Van Nieuwstadt (hamstring) is still ruled out.

Sean O'Driscoll: "The appointment of a new manager creates an effect - even if it is a shortlived effect. Watford got a good result and produced a decent performance at Bristol City and this is another good test for us."


FA Cup Rd 2
Bradford City v Leyton Orient

Team news: On loan Burnley winger Steve Jones comes straight in for the injured Omar Daley. Jones scored on his last appearance at Valley Parade, netting a last-minute winner for Burnley in their friendly during pre-season.

Paul McLaren (groin) faces a late fitness test but is not expected to be available.

Stuart McCall: "This is a big opportunity for us; everyone dreams of getting through to the third round and every extra penny can only help the club."

Team news: New boss Martin Foyle could hand a start to loan signing Adam Smith from Gainsborough Trinity.

He will hand late fitness tests to striker Bruce Dyer (stiff) and young winger Liam Shepherd.

Martin Foyle: "There's a month left until the January window, but I am giving everybody a chance to get used to the way I want to play."
