IT'S the final weekend of the football season and a victory at Cheltenham will see Doncaster Rovers promoted to the Championship, barring Leeds winning their arbitration hearing and getting all their 15 points back.
Here, an ex player, a fan, and football writer Ian Appleyard give their verdict.

Ex- player: John Buckley (1984-1987)

Donny have been the best footballing side in the division this season and will deserve to go up after they have beaten Cheltenham. I also wish the fans would start giving the manager more credit for the job he has done.

It's amazing that both Donny and Carlisle are involved against teams in the relegation battle. I think both of us and Forest will win. I don't think Leeds will get any points back. As a team, I think Donny are far better equipped than Leeds to do well in the Championship.

Fan's view: Paul Mayfield, Doncaster

Forest worry me. If they had not scored that late goal against Hartlepool, it would have been a straight fight between Donny and Carlisle. I don't see Leeds getting their points back. We will sneak it at Cheltenham because they need to go for a win and will leave gaps at the back that we can exploit.

Everyone will be listening for scores at the other grounds. If it goes silent, the players will know things are not going well; if there is a cheer they will know that Carlisle or Forest are losing.

Yorkshire Post Verdict:Ian Appleyard

For my money, Doncaster Rovers have been, without question, the most attractive team to watch in Yorkshire this season. If Leeds do get 15 points back, it will be extremely tough luck on Rovers and the shock of missing out on automatic promotion could even have a negative impact on a play-off campaign. Although Cheltenham also need the points to stay up, I'm going with the form book in this clash of the racing towns and think Cheltenham will suffer a fifth consecutive defeat.
