YORK-BASED event rider, Harriet Morris-Baumber, 19, has won this year's EquestrianClearance.com scholarship worth £2,000.

Harriet started out competing on her 13.2 pony Hot 'N' Spicy and in 2005 she was chosen to represent Great Britain at Necarne Castle in Ireland in the CCIJ* with Hot 'N' Smart, where they finished 11th. Since then, Harriet has represented Great Britain at Avenches in Switzerland and has become a recognised face on the young rider international eventing circuit. Harriet currently has four of her own horses that she competes.

Her top rides include Sultao De Valada, Opulence, Polvier's Harold Spirit and Fernhill Utopia. She plans to make good use of her prize of £2,000-worth of equipment which she can spend on anything from yard equipment to horse rugs, competition wear and tack from EquestrianClearance.com. She will also receive support from the team at EquestrianClearance.
