Edward's turn to shine after sister's success

Twenty pupils at Bootham School in York gained 10 or more A and A* results in their GCSE examinations.

Edward De Nunzio got 11 A and A* – completing a double success for the family. His sister, Sophie, celebrated after receiving three Grade A and one B in her A-levels the previous week.

Edward will return to Bootham in September to start his A-levels and Sophie is going to Manchester University to study International Management.

Headteacher Jonathan Taylor, said it was another good set of results for the school, which was founded by Quakers in 1823.
