Lantra, the Government agency which oversees training for land-based work, has £3m from development agency Yorkshire Forward to spend over three years on training which will help the expansion of farming, horticultural and forestry businesses in Yorkshire and Humber region.

The project has been named the LandSkills Project and equipped with an advisory board of regional experts – including farmers – who have already directed some of the money to the Churches Rural Commission and the Farm Business Support Project.
