A much larger entry of cattle on offer met another much improved trade for all classes resulting in a top price of 212.5 being achieved for a Limousin x Heifer for GA &JC Verity, Ellingstring which was purchased by J Penny & Sons, Rawdon.

teers sold to 208.5 again for Limousin x from J G Wood, Dalton sold to J Robertshaw, Bradford. 15 cattle sold at prices of 200p and above. Young Bulls would be a similar trade with double the number of last week forward. Black and white bulls would in fact be dearer on the week.
Top price was 185.5 for Limousin x from TW & SL Parkinson , Thirlby sold to J & B Fitton, Oldham. Almost double the number of lambs forward were a steadier trade making up to £63.50 for Texel X from C Dowson, Keldholme sold to Kurpas Meats, Manchester. Ewes were a similar trade making up to £48. Pigs and sows would be a little less money on the week.
