The Scottish Agricultural College has £1.5m of funding to find a home-grown alternative to soya as a pig feed.

The aim of the Green Pig Project, which will also involve Nottingham University and the National Institute of Agricultural Botany, is to find a way of cutting both costs and food-miles. Email the project co-ordinator at jos.houdijk@sac.ac.uk
