HUDDERSFIELD TOWN signing Andy Butler believes his new club is 'ready-made' for the Championship.
Butler has ended a six-year association with Scunthorpe United to move to the Galpharm Stadium.

Over 16,000 supporters have snapped up tickets for the club's Centenary season and the arrival of new manager Stan Ternent has raised expectations.

Butler, 24, said: "I'm ready to help push this club into the Championship. I've signed a three-year deal and I want to become a permanent fixture here."

After being relegated from the Championship last season with Scunthorpe, Butler rejected the offer of a new deal at Glanford Park to follow team-mate Jim Goodwin to the Galpharm.

"Scunthorpe has been the only club I've known," he added. "This fresh start is really exciting. Last season was tough, but it was a brilliant experience and I want to get back there. This club is ready-made for the Championship.

"Obviously I know Jim Goodwin well and he will be a real asset. He's a good communicator and has a great range of passing, but his main strength is breaking up play."
