SHEFFIELD UNITED have submitted their claim for compensation over the Carlos Tevez Affair.
But, contrary to reports, the club have not offered to strike a deal with West Ham which would see them accept a cut-price £25m in staged payments.
The news comes after United won a temporary injunction at the High Court last week prohibiting thei
r rivals from London appealing the judgement of an independent arbitration tribunal, which declared the Argentina international was ineligible for selection during the closing stages of the 2006-07 Premier League season, to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland.
United chairman Kevin McCabe said: "We have put in our claim.
"It contains details and documentation of monies we lost because of losing our top-flight status and outlines these in a clear and meticulous way.
"It is totally transparent and has been prepared using a wide variety of sources.
"It is an authoritative piece of work."
McCabe added: "That has been handed over to the arbitration who will now consult it and, I am sure, West Ham will be doing their own work too.
"The arbitration is continuing on course and on timetable."
United expect an announcement regarding the amount they can expect to receive around March although the regime at Upton Park, which has been hit hard by the global credit crunch, have vowed to press ahead with their bid to refer the matter to CAS.
