Hull have confirmed the signings of Wigan striker Marlon King and Spurs defender Anthony Gardner.
The Barclays Premier League newcomers have been in discussions with the 28-year-old King for several weeks as they bid to strengthen their squad ahead of this weekend's season opener.

The Jamaica international completed a medical with the club yes
terday and will join the Tigers on a season-long loan deal.

Tottenham defender Gardner was originally signed on loan with the club expected to make the deal permament in January, but officials have instead decided to complete the permanent signature now for a club record fee of £2.5m.

King is manager Phil Brown's eighth new signing ahead of the Tigers' first Premier League season.

Wigan have confirmed King will not be able to face the Latics in either game this season, in accordance with Premier League rules regarding loan deals.

Latics manager Steve Bruce said: "We wish Marlon all the best. He is a good pro and he made a contribution last season.

"He has worked hard in pre-season and has made an impact, but he has chosen to move on for the time being."

Belief the key for Tigers' survival.
