SHEFFIELD Wednesday fans group Wednesdayite confirmed at lunchtime today that members will be balloted over the proposed sale of their 10 per cent stake in the club to Lancashire-based businessman Geoff Sheard.
As reported in the Yorkshire Post, Sheard could pull the plug on his proposed £8m investment in the debt-ridden Championship club if Wednesdayite, who were gifted the shares seven years ago, decide to reject his offer.

The result of the ballot will announced after a special general meeting of Wednesdayite's 1,200 members just days before the new season starts on August 9.

SHEFFIELD United striker Rob Hulse has been given permission to speak to Derby County over a proposed £1.5m move to Pride Park.

Hulse, who is currently on the club's pre-season tour in Belgium, cost £2.1m from Leeds United two summers ago but was sidelined for nine months by a broken leg suffered in a Premier League game at Chelsea.
