ANTHONY GARDNER will tonight make his Hull City bow after finalising the terms of a loan switch from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 27-year-old one-time England international has joined the Tigers on a deal that could be made permanent in January and trained with his new team-mates for the first time yesterday.

Gardner, who is the club's seventh signing since winning promotion to the top flight, is likely to go straight into the side when Hull travel to Oldham Athletic tonight looking to bounce back from a miserable 4-0 defeat at Crewe Alexandra in their last outing.

Manager Phil Brown was fiercely critical of his players after the humbling at Gresty Road and made 11 substitutions at half-time, by which time his side were already four goals behind.

Gardner, whose only England appearance came against Sweden in 2004, has a year remaining on his deal at White Hart Lane, but has moved north in an attempt to secure regular first-team football.
