HUDDERSFIELD TOWN have agreed a new two-year deal with goalkeeper Matt Glennon.
The 29-year-old was out of contract this summer and expected to move on, but manager Stan Ternent made it a priority to re-sign the former Carlisle United man.
Ternant said: "I am pleased to have Matt signed up, as I rate him as highly as any goal
keeper in this league. I see him as an integral part of the squad."
Glennon has made 101 appearances in two seasons with Town and was runner-up to Andy Holdsworth for the 2008 Player of the Year award.
One man who will be leaving the Galpharm Stadium this summer, however, is Danny Schofield after the midfielder agreed a switch to Yeovil Town.
The 28-year-old announced in February his intention to leave when his current deal ended and he will join the Glovers on July 1.
Yeovil manager Russell Slade said: "This ends the search to replace Arron Davis as Danny is extremely versatile as he can play on the left or right wing or down the middle.
"More importantly he can get a goal, so we are delighted that he is coming down to Yeovil."
Schofield arrived at Huddersfield from non-league Brodsworth Welfare for a nominal fee in 1998 and made his full debut the following May against Crewe.
He made a total of 247 appearances for the Terriers and scored 39 goals.
