BRAZILIAN midfield player Geovanni is being lined up for a move to Hull City.
Manager Phil Brown has opened talks with the former Barcelona player, who spent last season in the Premier League with Manchester City.

Brown is also hoping to secure the services today of Greek international winger Stelios and French defender Bernard Mendy.

Geovanni, 27, was introduced to English football last summer but, after making an impressive early impact, he struggled to command a regular place in the City side.

However, with four international caps and spells in both Spanish and Portuguese football under his belt, his arrival could still be a major coup for Hull who are preparing to play top- flight football for the first time in their 104-year history.

Brown is also due to go to Holland today for talks with another transfer target, believed to be a striker, as Hull's players head to Bormio in the Italian Alps for a training camp.
