Wayne Rooney is dreaming of glory with England and the Manchester United star can see comparisons between the managerial qualities of Fabio Capello and Sir Alex Ferguson.
But the on-song striker urged England not to throw away the advantage gained after winning in Croatia last month by failing to collect all three points when they tackle Belarus in Minsk.

England lead their World Cup qualifying group with a maximum
nine points from the opening three games after the
5-1 win over Kazakhstan at Wembley on Saturday.

But Rooney, who netted twice in that game, warned: "We have to make sure we get the full six points from these two games otherwise the result in Croatia will have been for nothing.

"We've done well, we've won our last three games and we are starting to score more goals now. I'm enjoying my football at the minute and hopefully I can keep doing well for club and country.

"With England, we're starting to play well and give good performances as well as getting results.

"I don't want to get carried away and say 'we will win something' but we are certainly working towards that - and getting better each game.

"Hopefully, we can qualify and then we'll take it from there. Everyone dreams about winning trophies and to get a trophy with England would be unbelievable."

The Manchester United star continued: "I think the biggest similarity between Fabio Capello and (United boss) Sir Alex Ferguson is that they are both winners.

"I think when you have a manager like that it certainly rubs off on the players and it makes them feel the same.."

Rooney has called on England to adopt a professional approach to ensure there are no slip-ups against Belarus.

He said: "Against Belarus, it is going to be a tough game..

"Away from home in a World Cup qualifier, there is generally not much in those matches, so we just have to go there and try to win."
