Humber Premier

A YOUNG Easington United side collected their first win for nine weeks, beating Malet Lambert 2-0.

A goal by 16-year-old James Mee, one of seven teenagers in the Easington line-up, gave them the lead and 17-year-old Anthony Barnett added the second.

David Burnett crowned a convincing 4-2 victory for lowly Hornsea Town over sixth-placed Pocklington Town with a superb volley. Pocklington's James Rudd had opened the scoring inside the first 10 minutes, but Ashley Grayston produced a quick equaliser and Hornsea led 3-1 at the break with further goals from Denham Kite and John Mill.

Graeme Whitehead gave Pocklington fresh hope with their second goal just after the hour, but Burnett had the final say.

Westella & Willerby overcame LSS Lucarlys with a 3-2 win. Courtney Branagan's header and a lob by Phil Jackman built a two-goal lead for Westella, but Tommy Watson scrambled the ball in at the near post for Lucarlys four minutes before the interval.

Mike Walsh made it 3-1 in the 56th minute, shooting into the top corner from 20 yards, and although Phil Jones snatched Lucarlys's second goal, Westella held on for the final six minutes.
